Engineer Song

An engineer told me before he died,
Ah-hum, titty-bum, titty-bum, titty-bum,
An engineer told me before he died,
Ah-hum, ah-hum,
An engineer told me before he died,
I have no reason to believe he lied,
Ah-hum, titty-bum, titty-bum, titty-bum,
Ah-hum, titty-bum, titty-bum, titty-bum.
He had a wife with a cunt so wide,
Ah-hum..........etc.
He had a wife with a cunt so wide,
Ah-hum..........etc.
He had a wife with a cunt so wide,
That she could never be satisfied,
Ah-hum..........etc.

So he built a bloody great wheel,
With two balls of brass and a prick of steel.

The balls of brass he filled with cream,
And the whole fucking issue was driven by steam.

He tied her to the leg of the bed,
Tied her hands above her head.

There she lay demanding a fuck,
He shook her hand and wished her luck.

'Round and 'round went the bloody great wheel,
In and out went the prick of steel.

Up and up went the level of steam,
Down and down went the level of cream.

'Till at last the maiden cried,
Enough, enough, I'm satisfied.

Now we come to the tragic bit,
There was no way of stopping it.

She was split from ass to tit,
And the whole fucking thing was covered in shit.

It jumped off her, it jumped on him,
And then it buggered their next of kin.

It jumped on an uptown bus,
And the mess it made caused quite a fuss.

The last time, Sir, that prick was seen
It was over in England fucking the Queen.

There is a moral to the story I tell,
If you see it coming better run like hell.

Nine months later a child was born,
With two brass balls and a bloody great horn.

The moral of this story is mighty clear.
Never fuck an engineer.

Ergh..

"Song of the Army Air Corps"
"Song of the Signal Corps"
"The Caissons go rolling along" (lijflied van de artillery)
"Anchors away" (lijflied van de Navy)
"The Halls of Montezuma" (lijflied van de mariniers)

Britse liederen:
"Bless'em all" (maar dan wel met de originele tekst :evil:
"Farewell to Sicily"
"D-Day Dodgers"
"Africa Star"
"Ballad of Wadi Maktilla"
"Kiss me goodnight Sergeant-major"
"I don't want to join the army"
"When this bloody war is over" (WO1)

We're Colonel Johnson's Troopers
We're fighters of the Night
We're dirty sonsabitches
We'd rather fuck than fight!
Hi-Dee, Hi-Dee, Christ Almighty,
Who in the Hell are WE?
Rim-Ram, Gawd Damn, Parachute Infantry

Ik ken alleen enkele regels wellicht dat iemand mij verder kan helpen met dit nummer;

trust80@hetnet.nl

Bedankt Rob

Mijn favoriet is:

Erika
(Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein) was a march song composed by Herms Niel in 1939.

1. Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein
Und das heißt: Erika.
Heiß von hunderttausend kleinen Bienelein
Wird umschwärmt Erika.
Denn ihr Herz ist voller Süßigkeit,
Zarter Duft entströmt dem Blütenkleid
Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein
Und das heißt: Erika.

2. In der Heimat wohnt ein kleines Mägdelein
Und das heißt: Erika.
Dieses Mädel ist mein treues Schätzelein
Und mein Glück, Erika.
Wenn das Heidekraut rot-lila blüht,
Singe ich zum Gruß ihr dieses Lied.
Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein
Und das heißt: Erika.

Schaut's mich an, Erika.

Gory Gory die jij bedoelt is Blood Upon the Risers (zit ook in Band of Brothers aflevering 'Why we fight'):

Blood Upon the Risers
Sung to the tune of The Battle Hymn of the Republic

He was just a cherry trooper and he surely shook with fright
as he checked all his equipment and made sure his pack was tight
He had to sit and listen to the awful engines roar,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

“Is everybody happy?” cried the Sergeant, looking up.
Our hero feebly answered “yes,” and then they stood him up.
He leaped right out into the blast, his static line unhooked.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

He counted long, he counted loud, he waited for the shock;
He felt the wind, he felt the clouds, he felt the awful drop;
He jerked his cord, the silk spilled out and wrapped around his legs.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

The risers wrapped around his neck, connectors cracked his dome;
The lines were snarled and tied in knots, around his skinny bones;
The canopy became his shroud, he hurtled to the ground.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

The days he’d lived and loved and laughed kept running through his mind;
He thought about the girl back home, the one he’d left behind;
He thought about the medics and wondered what they’ed find.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

The ambulance was on the spot, the jeeps were running wild;
The medics jumped and screamed with glee, they rolled their sleeves and smiled;
For it had been a week or more since last a chute had failed.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

He hit the ground, the sound was splat, his blood went spurting high;
His comrades were then heard to say, “A helluve way to die”;
He lay there rolling ‘round in the welter of his gore.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

There was blood upon the risers, there were brains upon the chute;
Intestines were a-dangling from this paratrooper’s boots;
They picked him up, still in his chute and poured him from his boots.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

CHORUS:
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
Gory, Gory, What a helluva way to die
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

Hitler, has only got one ball
Goebbels, has two but very small
Himmler, got something sim'ler
And poor Goering has no balls at all
