UK cemetery vandalised in France
Police in France are investigating the desecration of a cemetery containing the remains of British soldiers killed in World War I. They say vandals damaged more than 40 headstones at the graveyard in the village of Bailleul-Sir Berthoult, near the north-eastern city of Lille.
Investigators say no graffiti was found at the scene and the motive for the desecration remains unclear. Britain's Commonwealth War Graves Commission said it was shocking. Tombstones were toppled over, one or two broken and one torched. Police say the visitors' book for the graveyard was also burned.
The vandalism in the Albuera cemetery, which has 252 graves, is thought to have taken place last week. France's war veterans minister, Hamlaoui Mekachera, said he was "strongly dismayed at the desecration" and hoped that those who carried out "such barbaric and shocking acts" would be arrested.

Echt schokerend!
Dat ze die .... maar eens goed onder handen nemen.
Natuurlijk heeft het weer niemand gezien, zeker?
