Rochus Misch - Der letzte Zeuge / The Last witness


Film by Yael Katz Ben Shalom (Israel) produced in the year of 2005 about Rochus Misch, the allegedly last survivor and witness from the inner circle of the Führerhauptquartier of Adolf Hitler. She films Misch in his private home in Berlin, shows how he deals with his history. His daughter is also interviewed, who is married to an Israeli.

Misch was born on July 29th 1917 in Oppeln/Upper Silesia/Germany. He was member of the “Leibstandarte-SS Adolf Hitler” and staid until the end of the war, also in the bunker of the Reichskanzlei in Berlin, at the side of AH.

The film lasts 64 minutes and has been partitioned here into 4 parts. The language is German with English subtitles. The daughter of Misch speaks partially in English. The film was shown on German TV (MDR – Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk) in 2006 and 2007.
