Kwam het vaak voor dat een overcoat emblemen op de mouwen had? En wat is de waarde van deze overcoat? Nog iets, ik zie dat er veel Air Force uniformen e.d. worden aangeboden, meer dan infanterie o.i.d. komt dit doordat er minder vraag naar is?

Het was dus wel degelijk mogelijk om zulke patches op de mouwen te dragen van een Wool service coat. Meestal kozen de 'combat units' er niet voor op deze hierop te naaien. De precieze reden ben ik helaas vergeten.These unit patches were sewn on the wool service coat or Ike jacket, the wool or cotton shirt (when worn on its own), the wool overcoat and various field jackets. Insignia was not worn on the fatigue uniform.
As of 1944, a veteran being assigned to a different unit could contineu to wear the patch of its former combat unit ( the "Combat patch") on the right sleeve
