Helmet, crash, despatch rider's MK I or No 3 MK I. Similar to airborne troops' pattern with steel rim around the brim. Ear flaps adjustable with a string and eyelets above the nape. Chinstrap tightened on right side with pronged buckle. Issued from July 1943 to all motorcycle units and passengers (gradually replacing previous fiber model).
