Hey guys. My name's Bogdan and I'm from Transylvania, Romania. Mainly I'm a military archeologist (battlefield digger) and also wartime collector (1905-1945) but lately I have been captivated by military torches, flashlights of any kind since one year ago when I found one in the trenches but in a poor condition (only the glass was to be saved and kept in my collection).
To be honest I have been watching you mates and I do have to say in terms of ww2 illuminating devices you really do know your stuff. The collections and items I have seen here are awesome, hands down to your time and efforts into preserving this shred of history and making it public.
Here are my items I have managed to get until now, it's a small and humble collection so far but I do enjoy restoring a lot of them as much as I can using the techniques I apply to ground dug relics (leather restoration and treatment, paint preservation and rust removing without damaging the paint, even battery reproductions to match the ones they used back then and still be functioning).
As for the Daimon Focus one I am not sure but Made in Germany indicates its postwar (maybe early 50's ?).Please do correct me if I am wrong.
I'd be very keen to learn as much as I can about distinguishing the more tricky ones so with your permission from time to time I'd like to ask some questions to the connaisseurs here.
Thanks and have a nice day/evening
