During World War II,The luger was only a lesser consumer of submachine guns,especially,used of 9mm ammunition.The varous types of submachine guns,especially,ussed far larger quantities of 9mm cartridges.It may be a tribute to the luger.however,that all 9mm catridges kept the designation pistolenpatrone 08 up to the end of World War II.
