Jah dat dacht ik ook wel maar wist niet zeker en voor 24 dollar heb ik ze maar gekocht dus no harm done als ze wel Korea tijdperk zijn.

Zijn de schoenen niet A-6, maargoed maakt ook niet uit. Zeeeeer mooi uniform en inderdaad hij zou goed tussen je para's passen met dit verhaal erbij. Ik zou hem zeker hebben gekocht als je hem had verkocht, maar je hebt een goede keuze gemaakt door hem te houden. Zeer mooi!!!

In de schoenen staat A-1, ik kijk normaal op ebay onder USAAF, maar toevalig tikte ik Bombers in en kreeg ik die shoenen te zien en niet onder USAAF.
De verkoper meende dat ze Korea tijdperk waren, ik heb ze toch gekocht omdat ze niet duur waren.
Moet er nu nog achter komen of ze ww2 of postwar zijn.

No more apologies m8!!! Het is goed zo. Maareh over die schoenen, tjah voor zo'n prijs zijn ze altijd nog goed als vuller tot je betere hebt.

Korea Periode dus....

These were made during the period of transition from the individual service and branch stock number systems used prior to 1950.
The O in the specification indicates that it it is in the combined system in which the first letter is the first letter of the item name. The second part of the number is arbitrary and assigned in order of adoption with no thought to similar items falling together in the sequence. Four digits indicates circa 1950. The M1910 canteen has three digits, for example. Circa 1948.
8340 is the Federal Stock Classification number. I don't know it offhand; however class 83___ is in the personal clothing section of the FSC. Probably 8340 is protective outer clothing; it was unit clothing not part of the clothing bag thus was issued on a hand reciept and turned in upon PCS. That is what U.S Property indicates.
The reason this is a transitional number from the Korean War era is that the remainder of the stock number is the old AAF and AF system dating back to WWII. The standard format has not yet been assigned and would be 8340-xxx-xxxx format assigned in order of processing.

Ten eerste bedankt voor het uitzoeken Johan!!
Ik was zoals ik eerder vermeld had er al bang voor maar ze leken best wel op de A-6 type en dacht A-1 misschien een voorloper, niet dus, pech, gelukkig waren ze goedkoop.
Ik heb wel Britse vliegerlaarzen maar die zijn voor me R.A.F. piloot.
Ik houdt Bells Avation wel in de gaten en Ebay.
In ieder geval heb ik nog een projectje om af te maken.

mijn herman divisie winterpara ! ( deze hebben zo rond gelopen door onze regio !


zeer zeldzame wende tarn broek met ruitjes ( grijs / wit omkeer baar )
splinterjas is zoals jullie kunnen zien ook omkeer baar ( met dank aan meindert )


op de kopfhaube / sjaal en pet na na is alles orgineel ! ( na mijn weten
wehrmacht winterfront soldaat met mint staat zumpf jas ( omkeerbaar ) en omkeer bare splintertarn wende broek !



fijne vilt laarzen



fijne schapen wollen overjas voor wacht troepen ! jas is voorzien van schapen vacht ! pop heeft een orginele kopfhaube en handschoenen ( waar ik zelf een beetje mijn twijfels over heb maar moeten orgineel zijn ) er zit een fijne m43 broek onder deze jas en de is ook fijn gestempeld !


en tot slot mijn nederlandse mei 40 kapitein van de infanterie !
fijne zittende pop. de beenkappen zitten er niet goed op daar hier ook de leertjes zijn gebroken bij het aan brengen van de kappen ( ik vervloek die been kappen )

Schitterend!! Ook mooi om eens zo'n Nederlandse soldaat (kapitein) te zien. Ik denk dat er hier wel een paar mensen jalours zijn op jouw kapitein!
