Thanks for the link Robspad. The pictures of this re-enactment look very nice. Specially the pictures of the Polish cavalry. Which cavalry brigade do they exactly display? The Podolska or the Wielkopolska cavalry brigade?



What about the soldier on this picture? He is armed with a Mosin Nagant M44 carbine. Does he display a soldier of the Polish army of 1939 or a soldier of the Polish 1st People’s army of 1944/45?

In display presents both cavalery brigade. In time of battle both brigade united in one operating squad.
You accuracy is very precise.
So - Mosin - this is small fals. This is version shooting blind ammunition. Used only for show display.
Some reenactos to get these rifles in time demonstration. Two years ago I shooting from this rifle too.
In September 1939 year, very few units be armed in rifles Mosin No. 91 (Police , Border Guard Units). Very often these rifles change calibre in Polish arms factories.

It is interesting to see how the Polish people get on with their history. The other links are also interesting too. Like I wrote before, the pictures of the Polish cavalry are my favourites. Is this re-enactment of the battle of the Bzura, being organized every year? What about the vehicles, are they privately owned or do they come from a collection of a military museum?
Of course the Polish soldier with the M44 carbine is just an unimportant detail. Like you wrote, the Polish army had its own pre war Mosin Nagant wz.91 variants. See, http://www.russian-mosin-nagant.com/international.htm .



What also interesting is to see between all these small arms is the Polish variant of the BAR, the Browning wz.28. I think that most people at this forum only know the American variant of this automatic rifle. There is also a topic at this forum dedicated to this automatic rifle. Yes, Polish cavalery looks very splendid and gallant.
Fundamental Polish pre-war cavalery: cavalry moves on horseback and fights on foot. Only exceptionally fighting on horseback.
These soldiers were trained very good.
Yes, re-enactment of the battle of the Bzura, organized every year in september.
The vehicles are privately owned (most) and collection of a military museums.
In Poland standard groups is different. Many groups are looks very good.
In Poland law about weapon and ammunition is restrictive. Therefore for diplay (acustic, shoting) show to be different weapons.
In static display use only correct deactivated or copy weapon.
