Sept. 12, 1942, p. 40. Advertisement for Camel Cigarettes "Women in the War"
Pictures of women in uniform: British American Ambulance Corp, Motor Corp of the American Women's Volunteer Service
"The Camels are an important part of the uniform too!"
(info van http://www.mscd.edu/~history/camphale/wim_008.html )
Hier een definitie opgescharreld : BRITISH-AMERICAN AMBULANCE CORPS : Voluntary organization providing British and other Allied Forces – as well as American Forces – and Civilian Defense units with Ambulances and Ambulance personnel, already available during WWI

Engelse stretchers hadden (geplooide) metalen poten.
Vriendelijke groeten,

Mijn spion in NYC is vandaag even naar 420 LexingtonAve gaan kijken....
'It is the office tower for Grand Central Station. It isn't a tall building as most of the buildings of New York City topping out at maybe 18 floors. It was built in 1926 and I am sure that the British American Ambulance Corps could have been located in this very artistically designed structure.
I can find no pictures of the building, but here is a link to the Grand Central Terminal website. There are some nice pictures and history in the "history" link. http://www.grandcentralterminal.com/pages/default.aspx
